A morning four-ball better-ball medal was followed by an afternoon foursomes medal.

Visitors Phillip Lloyd and Joe Ashton from Minchinhampton won with a 36-hole 138.5 nett.

Local pair Phil Park and Dave Flanagan took second with 139.5 and Rich Maskell and Lloyd Sussex from Worcester Golf and Country Club third with 143.0.

Best gross went to home players Andy McCabe and Tom Howells with 148 ahead of David Allison and Paul Taylor from Cotswold Hills on 151.

The best better-ball score was by Peter Basten and Micheal Hanna with nett 64 and the foursomes prize went to Andrew Cook and Mike Evans from Cotswold Hills with nett 73.5.

Jane Poynder won The Worcestershire's weekend medal with nett 84 while Jill Brierly triumphed on countback on Tuesday with 75.

Brenda Lowe was second in Division Two behind Brierly with 79.

Jackie Marks topped Division One with 75 from Cathy Harris on 76.

Anne Garner won the nine-hole stableford with 21 points.

Phil Bayliss won on senior captain’s day with 39 points, including six pars, from Ron Gordon on 37 and reduced his handicap from 18 to 17.

Jon Lane scored nett 69 in the midweek medal ahead of Dennis Doano with 72 and Derek Wolfendale won the nine-hole midweek stableford with 22 points.

The Worcestershire A team won 3½-2½ at Droitwich.

There were victories for Phil Birch (6) and Peter Lupino (+1) 2&1 and Tom Davies (5) and Ali Renton (11) 4&3 alongside halves for Steve Carter (10) and Dave Marshall (1), Jason Allies (2) and Andy Dunster (5) and Paul Wakely (11) and Andy McCabe (4).

The Worcestershire mixed team won 9-3 at Droitwich.

There were victories for Trevor and Brenda Cox, Ron and Liz Gordon, Brian and Jill Piner, Alan Smith and Pam Emery-Reynolds, John Flanagan and Jane Tromans, Will Jones and Mary Horrobin and Clive and Debbie Minett.

John and Geraldine Williams, Roger and Jill Brierly, Steve and Christine Goody and Peter Hill and Liz Pool all halved.

The Worcestershire ladies drew at Droitwich after both sides recorded a win, draw and loss.

Emery Reynolds, Jill Exell, Ruth Scott, Pauline Savage, Sue Wood and Jane Quick played for the visitors.

The Worcestershire seniors triumphed 4½-1½ at Kington.

There were victories for Andy Peet and Graham Hill one-up, Terry Cox and Andrew Colston 2&1, Brian Piner and Dave Jones 5&4 and Andrew Whiteley and Allan Davies 3&2.

John Williams and Bayliss halved while Keith Hitchcock and Gordon lost one-down.

They also beat Evesham 3½-2½ at home.

Peet and John Davison won 2&1, Bayliss and James Noon one-up and Ron Barker and Terry Cox 3&2.

Les Facer and Ken Willett halved with defeats for Colston and Gordon 3&1 and Hitchcock and Gerry Bird 4&3.

Meanwhile, Tim Hollingworth won a seniors medal at Alexander Park.

Hollingworth scored 85 gross 8 handicap 77 nett to see off George Cozens (99-19=80) and David Thrower (105-23=82).

Carl Tasker won a seniors stableford with 36 points off 15 handicap from Alan Shakesheff on 35-17 and Hollingworth on 29-8.
