KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have signed versatile attacker Ed Williams from Gloucester City.

The 22-year-old spent the last three seasons in National League North and then the South with the Tigers, playing more than 80 games.

Harriers say Williams is capable of playing in an advanced midfield role or almost any attacking position.

He started out at Cheltenham Town and netted nine goals for Gloucester last season.

New Harriers manager Neil MacFarlane has already signed forward Ashley Chambers and defender Ryan Johnson.

Meanwhile, National League North new boys Hereford FC have snapped up right-back or midfielder Keiran Thomas from Gloucester.

The former Tigers captain, 23, spent the last two years with Gloucester, making over 80 appearances in National League North and South, after joining from Cinderford Town.

Hereford manager Pete Beadle said: “I’ve known Keiran since he was a youngster at Cheltenham Town.

"He’s a versatile player, strong, solid and very good technically."

Midfielder Eliot Richards has agreed a deal to remain at Edgar Street for the forthcoming campaign.

After joining the Bulls from Merthyr last November, Richards made 29 appearances for Hereford last season, scoring four goals.
