WESTFIELDS returned from Shifnal Town with a hard-fought goalless draw in the Midlands Football Alliance.

Shifnal had beaten Westf-ields 1-0 at Allpay Park earlier in the season but Westfields put up a gritty display and defended well for long periods.

Westfields best chance of the first-half fell to former Bristol City trainee Matt Aubrey who put over a good cross which Simon Gwilliam just failed to get onto the end of.

After the break the visitors went close when Paul Allan picked out Gwilliam on the far post but he fired wide.

Westfields' Herefordshire Premier Division side bowed out of the Herefordshire FA Charity Bowl on penalties in the semi-final to Woofferton.

Drawing 3-3 after extra time , Westfields lost 11-10 lost in the shoot-out.
