DARTS players across the city are being urged to take part in the Worcester Open.

It is the second year the event has been run and it is set to take place at Rileys in Shrub Hill on Saturday, March 27.

Players will be competing for a top prize of £160 with £80 going to the runner-up and £40 to each of the losing semi-finalists.

The format, played off a 501 start, is best of seven legs in the opening rounds, best of nine in the semi-finals and best of 11 in the final.

The entry fee is £6 in advance or £8 on the day with registration from 11am until noon ahead of the 12.30pm start.
