TWO goals in three minutes half-way through the first-half was Malvern’s undoing.
The Langland Stadium side started brightly and tried to play attractive football, but the heavy rain hindered their attempts to play.
Malvern then suffered two injuries as firstly Bryan Craven, helping his defence, landed on keeper Alex Hards and needed a few minutes to recover, before Paul Ireland banged heads in the middle of the park and also required treatment.
The hosts took the lead when Paul O’Brien crossed for Jack Edwards to head home and he grabbed his second in the 23rd minute.
Studley tried to increase their lead, but Malvern’s defence had regrouped and prevented any further worthwhile chances.
In the 63rd minute, the ball was played to Andrew Crosskey who fired an unstopable shot into the net.
Malvern pushed for the equaliser but were unable to put the final ball into the area to create a good chance.
The visitors’ Kyle Knott received two yellow cards and was sent off late on.
