LENCHES Lions moved to the top of Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Three with a 12-goal thumping of Gardeners Arms.
Davies (5), Johns (3), B Davies (2) and Evans (2) scored the goals for the villagers, while a first-half Tarling strike earned Tewkesbury Town the points at Badsey Recreation.
Phil Davies hit a treble for Bear with further goals from Miles and Scrivens as they overcame Wickhamford Sports 5-3 with Mallory, Gibbons and Griffiths replying.
Pebworth and Black Bear Reserves drew 1-1 with Reading and Chew on target respectively.

Division Two leaders Alderton suffered a three-goal defeat at Evesham WMC with the goals coming from Ford, Grady and Spencer. Defford & Besford United moved top with a 2-1 victory at Stour Excelsior, thanks to goals from Ward and Marsden. Carr replied.
