MICHAEL Briscoe could be set for a first league start of 2012 against his former club as Kidderminster Harriers bid to return to winning ways.
The Aggborough outfit head to Tamworth tomorrow (3pm) aiming for their first win in three matches following defeats to Stockport and Luton in the Blue Square Bet Premier and FA Trophy respectively.
Assistant manager Gary Whild believes defensive errors are costing the team and he has not ruled out changes for the trip to the Lambs.
Centre-half Briscoe, signed from Tamworth, has only started eight league games this season, the last against Ebbsfleet on November 29, but is an option if fifth-placed Harriers make changes.
That could mean either Luke Jones or Mike Williams, whose poor back-pass led to Luton’s second in mid-week, missing out.
Whild said: “We’ve generally defended solidly but in the last few games errors have started to creep in.
“We’ve got to remember why we are in such a good position in the league and cut out some of the mistakes.
“We will have a look at the defence before Tamworth. We’ve got Michael who can come in if we want to change things around.”
Harriers can call on new wing recruit Marvin Johnson, keeper Tony Breeden, midfielder Lee Hendrie and striker Anthony Malbon after the quartet were cup-tied against Luton.
Right-back Lee Vaughan came through the Hatters match unscathed following a knee problem.
But midfielder Jack Byrne (knee) is not yet ready despite making good progress in his recovery.
