HEREFORD boss Richard O’Kelly was not being drawn on his future in the aftermath of the Bulls’ exit from the Football League.

Despite beating Torquay United 3-2 at Edgar Street on Saturday, Barnet won 2-1 at Burton Albion to condemn Hereford to relegation.

O’Kelly, who took over from Jamie Pitman in March, has been offered the job for next season by chairman David Keyte.

“Like everyone else I’m disappointed and there are too many emotions running around in my body to think about the future,” O’Kelly said.

“I need to go away and have a think and sit down and talk with the chairman — at the moment I couldn’t tell you what I am going to do.”

In typical fashion, however, the former Doncaster assistant manager was trying to use the experience in a positive fashion for the future.

He said: “It’s a sad day for the players and the club. We all have to use this disappointment as a spur.

“We have to think back to this day when we got relegated from the League and use that to push us on in the rest of our lives.”
