Garibaldi romp to first win in Worcester Football League

GARIBALDI recorded their first Worcester Sunday Football League Division Five victory after four successive defeats, thrashing Five Fathers 10-2.
Terry Gorman and Lewis Baker hit hat-tricks with Nathan Bullock adding a brace.
In the Premier Division, Jamie Insall netted four as WCT Raiders won 5-0 at Martley Spurs.
George Martin fired a treble as Heenans hammered Droitwich Spa Eagles 8-2 in Division One.
The Bell returned to the top of Division Three with Damon Groves cracking a hat-trick in a 6-1 success at Malvern Victoria. The University of Worcester thumped Old Vigornians 8-2 with Eliot Hardy notching a treble.
In Division Four, there was a brace for Marc Schuster in Malvern Rangers VFC’s 3-1 win over Pillar of Salt Korono.
Worcester Raiders lead Saturday Division One after an 11-2 demolition of the University of Worcester, thanks to Ben Harborne (5), Anthony Smith (3) and a nine-minute Steve Jeffries treble.
Steve Coopey bagged two for Hallow, who drew 3-3 with The Red Lion.
In Division Two, there were two goals for Jason Kenny as Worcester Anchors shared six with Malvern Hills and Jamie Waugh in Foregate’s narrow 3-2 victory over Katy O’Ryans.
The Worcester Nursing Saturday Junior Cup first round saw Newtown Sports triumph 14-2 at Pig and Drum thanks to Brad Morton (4) and Tom Milner (4).
Daniel Harding-Hall and Lee Seldon bagged braces as Arrow 2000 crushed St George’s 7-3.
Arrow also went through in the Sunday Junior Cup 6-0 over Callow End with Luke Corbett netting four. New Barbourne shocked Malvern Radar 3-2 as Stuart Scott hit an extra-time winner.
