MOEEN Ali played a key role as England launched the best-of-three T20 international series against India with a seven-wicket win in Kanpur.
The Worcestershire all-rounder, 29, collected the prized wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli with his first delivery.
He took 2-21 from four overs in only his second T20I appearance in nine months.
India were restricted to 147-7 and England chased the total down with 11 balls to spare with 148-3.
Opener Kohli (29) whipped Moeen to mid-wicket and skipper Eoin Morgan held onto the chance.
In his final over the County player claimed a second success as Manish Pandey (3) was adjudged lbw.
