WORCESTERSHIRE seconds bring down the curtain on the 2017 season with a three-day match against Leicestershire at Desborough Town from tomorrow.

Coach Kevin Sharp’s side return to action after an 11-day break following the wash-out of last week’s 50-over encounter with Bangladesh Academy at Wolverhampton.

The seconds finished third in the Championship, narrowly missed out on a semi-final spot in the 50-over competition and several players have graduated into the senior squad.

Tom Fell returns to the side after being part of the first XI triumph over Leicestershire which has taken Worcestershire to the brink of promotion from County Championship Division Two.

He looks set to open with Oliver Westbury in a strong looking line-up.

Alex Milton, who has signed his first professional contract with the County, will take the gloves before returning for his final year at Cardiff MCCU.

Charlie Morris will again skipper the side and play will get under way each day at 10.30am.

Worcestershire: Fell, Westbury, Hepburn, Whiteley, Milton, Dell, Malik, Twohig, Shantry, Pennington, Morris. 12th man: Woods.
