WORCESTERSHIRE wicketkeeper Steve Davies is stalling on a new three-year deal at New Road after the County agreed to his terms.

The 22-year-old Bromsgrove-born gloveman has had his demands met by the hierarchy at Worcestershire but, following a 28-day approach from Surrey, he has since decided to keep his options open.

County director of cricket Steve Rhodes is still hopeful that Davies will remain at Worcestershire.
