WORCESTERSHIRE have extended their partnership with main sponsor The Cotswold Group for a further two years in a six-figure deal.
The New Road side, who announce an annual loss of £118,439 last month, joined forces with the insurance firm last spring following the collapse of Apollo 2000.
And after a good relationship in the first year of the partnership, Worcestershire and The Cotswold Group have announced the new deal.
Worcestershire commercial director David Leatherdale said: “Having forged a fantastic relationship with all at The Cotswold Group since taking over as main sponsor almost 12 months ago, I am delighted they will now be with us until the end of 2012 and hopefully beyond.
“It is very evident that not only are The Cotswold Group a committed sponsor to Worcestershire County Cricket Club but are genuine supporters of Worcestershire Cricket.
“There is a real empathy with the club’s traditions and we look forward to being able to share success both on and off the pitch over the years to come.”
The Cotswold Group chief executive officer Tom Scott said: “We have enjoyed our first year as main sponsor of Worcestershire CCC.
“The benefits have been very obvious with our brand being instantly recognised across the country. Our customers have been supportive and appreciate the association to a club with Worcestershire’s history.”
