WORCESTERSHIRE will hope for better weather when they return to Royal Grammar School Worcester’s Flagge Meadow ground today for the start of the Second Eleven Championship clash with Derbyshire.

Coach Kevin Sharp’s side were frustrated by the elements at the same venue last week when only 45 overs were possible on the opening two days of the drawn Championship match with MCC Universities.

Alex Gidman will continue his comeback from concussion suffered during the LV= County Championship match with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who has been a key part of the NatWest T20 Blast side, is also included.

Alex Kervezee will captain the side which gained an impressive win over Yorkshire and then drew with Nottinghamshire before the MCC Universities rain-ruined encounter.

Play gets under way on all three days at 11am.
