MOEEN Ali has been included in England’s squads for the NatWest T20 match and five Royal London one-day international series games with Australia during the latter part of the summer.

The Worcestershire all- rounder, a member of England’s World Cup squad in Australia and New Zealand last winter, was left out of the white-ball matches against New Zealand in June.

Moeen returned instead to New Road to prepare for the Ashes against Australia where he finished as third highest run-getter and joint second best wicket-taker.

Joe Root is rested while Essex pace bowler Reece Topley is the only player included yet to be capped at international level.

National selector James Whitaker said: “We have made some significant progress in our limited overs cricket this summer and the next six games allow these players to continue testing themselves against one of the very best sides in the world.

“This is primarily a young group of players and the next three weeks will provide them with valuable experience.”
