ROSS Whiteley is delighted to be transferring his form in white-ball cricket into the LV= County Championship Division One with a series of impressive scores.

Whiteley followed his 101 against Yorkshire at Scarborough and 34 and 78 against Nottinghamshire at New Road with another impressive knock against Somerset at Taunton.

The 26-year-old had previously impressed in the Nat- West T20 Blast with a series of big hitting displays.

He said: “It is going alright.

I’ve got a pretty nice bat and that always helps. I’m really enjoying my four-day cricket at the moment. It is something I’ve struggled with over the past couple of years.

“I’ve worked pretty hard to try and get myself back in the team and it’s always nice to get a few runs. What is the difference? I’m not sure to be honest. I guess the hard work I’ve put in is paying off.

“It’s been a couple of frustrating years. I haven’t found form up until now so hopefully it continues.

“You take a lot of confidence out of the T20. That went pretty well for myself.

“I’ve just tried to come in and relax and enjoy my fourday cricket and not put too much pressure on it and play a little bit more attacking just like my one-day cricket.

It’s paying off at the minute.”
