WORCESTERSHIRE duo Brett D’Oliveira and Joe Clarke have been included in the North squad for the series against the South in Barbados in March.

D’Oliveira and Clarke are in a 13-man squad for the three-game, 50-overs-a-side series in the Caribbean.

The teams will each play a warm-up on March 15 before the series at the Kensington Oval on March 18, 21 and 23.

The Oval will also stage the MCC’s Champion County match against Essex from March 27 until 30 in a spring festival of English cricket in Barbados.

It is a second successive call-up for Clarke who last year had scores of 57, 27 and 0 in a series the South won 3-0.

The 22-year-old will link up with the squad at the end of the England Lions tour of the West Indies in February and March.

It is the first time Worcester-born D’Oliveira, 25, has been named for the series.

D’Oliveira and Clarke were part of the Worcestershire side who showed their prowess in 50-over cricket by topping the North Group in the Royal London One-Day Cup last summer.

Clarke scored 245 runs at an average of 30.62 and D’Oliveira  222 at 27.75 as well as having the County’s best economy rate with the ball, conceding just 4.84 runs per over.
