WORCESTERSHIRE players are heading to India to reap the benefits of the Global Cricket School thanks to its founder Sachin Bajaj.
Wicketkeeper Ben Cox, batsman Tom Fell and all-rounder Ed Barnard will fly out to Mumbai for a week-long camp from February 14 until 21 to hone their skills.
Spinner Ben Twohig, who is already in India training and playing cricket, will undertake a similar venture in Mumbai at the school earlier in the month.
The quartet are able to participate in the scheme through being sponsored by Bajaj who founded GCS, now a worldwide venture based in seven countries, in 2007.
It will be a second visit in three years for Fell who was part of a County contingent who went to Chennai for a camp in 2015.
Worcestershire head coach Kevin Sharp said: “We have to give massive thanks to Sachin who rang a couple of weeks back and said he would like to sponsor some of our players to go to the Global Cricket School.
“The lads will be able to enjoy full-on cricket and work on their various skill sets for seven days.”
