GARETH Andrew is still not ready for competitive action, despite making a return to bowling in Worcestershire’s drawn game with Oxford MCCU.
The all-rounder, who is recovering from knee surgery, was able to bowl for the first time since his operation in the game with the students, but is not yet ready for his Championship comeback.
The County head to the Oval to face newly-promoted Surrey in LV= County Championship Division One tomorrow (11am) and director of cricket Steve Rhodes has named the same team that lost by 92 runs to Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in their season-opener.
Rhodes said: “This match is in Surrey’s backyard, so they will be tough to beat. I think they are a very strong side.”
Worcestershire: Klinger, Cameron, Solanki, Ali, Kervezee, Mitchell, Scott, Choudhry, Lucas, Jones, Richardson. 12th man: Shantry.
