WORCESTER City conceded three first-half goals as their three-match winning streak away from home came to an end with a 3-1 defeat at Harrogate Town.

Paul Beesley scored twice and Chib Chilaka once to fire the Yorkshiremen into a 3-0 half-time on an awful pitch at Wetherby Road.

Sub Danny Edwards grabbed a consolation five minutes from time but it was too little too late for the visitors.

Goalkeeper Glyn Thompson said: "I think we're all disappointed. They were three sloppy goals, especially the second two, and we didn't really get going. We had a bit of a spell in the first-half but when you're 3-0 at half-time it it's a mountain to climb.

"No excuses with the pitch, it was awful but they dealt with it and we didn't. Everyone's just frustrated."
