NEW signings Micah Evans and Johnny Lynch are both in line to make their Worcester City debuts at Colwyn Bay tomorrow (3pm).

The pair, who are both 21, arrived on one-month loans from Southport yesterday and will be in the squad for the Conference North clash at Llanelian Road.

Right winger Evans has played 15 times for the struggling Conference side this season, scoring once, while Lynch has appeared six times for the Sandgrounders.

Evans could come in for Daniel Nti, who serves a one-match ban, while playing Lynch at left-back would allow Danny Jackman to return to midfield and Aaron Brown to replace Wayne Thomas, who starts a two-game suspension, at centre-half.

Manager Carl Heeley said: “They are a couple of fresh faces in the dressing room and I think it will give everybody a lift.

“Both lads are keen because they want to get regular games of football. They are hungry to come in and do well.

“Johnny is a good, solid, dependable left-back. We have been playing Danny Jackman there but he is more effective on the ball in the middle of the park.

“With Connor Gudger going, losing Graham Hutchison and Wayne Thomas suspended, I thought that would be a good option.

“Micah is an exciting winger who has got pace to burn and can chip in with a goal. That’s something I think we have missed.”

Evans joined Southport last summer having spent the previous campaign with Hereford United, making six starts for the Bulls.

Lynch also moved to the Lancashire outfit in the summer after being released by Championship side Wigan Athletic.

He has already spent a month on loan with Bradford Park Avenue this season, playing in the Yorkshire side’s 1-0 victory over City at Aggborough last month.

Worcester have not conceded a goal on their last three visits to North Wales but have not won any of their last four away games.

“We have got a good record there but we are coming up against a club who are in trouble and battling for their lives,” Heeley said.

“While we might have a good record, we have never had it easy there and it won’t be any different.

“We want to try to get back to winning ways. We need to get three or four wins and hopefully we will start climbing back up the table.”
