WORCESTER City have swooped to sign former Kidderminster Harriers striker Ryan Rowe.

The Worcestershire-based 26-year-old joins the Aggborough tenants after spending last season with struggling league rivals Brackley Town.

Rowe first came to the attention of Stourbridge with his goal-scoring endeavours at Cradley Town.

At Stourbridge, he became a crowd favourite by scoring freely and playing a big part in the club's FA cup successes.

A move into the full-time game followed after being snapped up by Kidderminster Harriers for an undisclosed fee prior to moving on to Brackley.

Rowe struggled to establish himself with Kidderminster in the Conference but scored 14 goals from 2012 until 2014.

Worcester joint manager Carl Heeley said: “It's third time lucky in our attempts to sign Ryan after speaking with him last summer and also failing in another attempt midway through last season to tempt the player to join us.

"It is well known that we found goals difficult to come by last season and, with Ryan now in our ranks, we have a proven goal-scorer, who we are confident will convert the chances on offer."
