WORCESTER City could field one of the oldest attacks around at home to Curzon Ashton today (3pm) after signing ex-Derby County forward Deon Burton.
The 38-year-old has joined the Vanarama National League North club on a pay-as-you-play basis from managerless Brackley Town and is set to team up with recent addition Lee Hughes, 39.
So City could well have two forwards with the combined age of 77 in their front-line at Aggborough.
Burton was with National League side Eastleigh towards the end of last season following his release from Scunthorpe United.
He played 56 internationals for Jamaica, scoring 12 times, and enjoyed five seasons for Derby, making 113 appearances and netting 20 goals.
Burton’s list of other former clubs include Portsmouth, Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.
