CREWE Alexandra striker Andre Brown has joined Vanarama National League North side Worcester City on loan for a month.

The 19-year-old first year professional is yet to feature in the Alex match-day squad this season and has been allowed to leave by manager Steve Davis in order to gain valuable playing experience.

Brown enjoyed a similar spell at Leek Town towards the end of last season that was cut short due to injury and he has featured regularly for the under 21s this season, including scoring during Tuesday’s 5-0 victory over Witton Albion in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

He will still be available for selection for Crewe under 21 matches during his time with City.

Brown has been granted permission to play in the FA Cup first-round tie with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
