Worcester (4-2-3-1):

Ross 7 – Good debut from the young keeper, pulling off a decent save in each half. Not a lot he could do with the goal.

Minihan 7 – Another fine display from a player who seems to get better and better with each game he plays. Good in attack and defence.

Gudger 7 – Shifted in to the middle of defence following Tom Sharpe’s early injury and proved as solid as ever.

Morris 5 – Struggled to deal with the Harrogate front two and was caught out more than once.

Sharpe 5 – Played just 11 minutes before a foot injury forced him off.

Jackman 7 – Typically lively display from the waspish midfielder who seems to relish his role as a holding midfielder.

Nti 6 – Suffered an early foot injury and that might account for his subdued display down the right. Not the attacking threat we’ve come to expect.

DEENEY 8 – Another passing masterclass served up by the skipper. And when City pushed the big men forward late on he looked at home in the centre of defence.

Harrad 7 – Relished having a full 90 minutes and showed some good touches. Given little support from midfield though.

Geddes 5 – A quiet afternoon that resulted in him being substituted early in the second half. Poor game capped by missing a first half penalty.

Dunkley 6 – Another who failed to shine after being given his chance to impress ahead of the FA Cup tie at Sheffield United.

Subs: Smith (for Sharpe 11, 5), Brown (for Geddes 57, 6), Waldron (for Morris 84, 5). Not used: Vincent, Thomas.

Harogate (4-4-2): Crook 6, Turner 6, McWilliams 4, Thirlwell 6, Shiels 6, Ellis 7, COLBECK 8, Kerry 7, Yates 6 (Bloomer 60, 6), Knowles 7 (McGurk 90, 5), Daniels Emmett 66, 6). Subs (not used): Swain, Thewlis.
