WORCESTER City moved further away from the relegation zone after a storming second-half show accounted for struggling AFC Telford United 3-0.

Veteran centre-half Wayne Thomas, on as a substitute, looped in a header to put City ahead on 61 minutes at Aggborough in the Vanarama National League North clash following a goalless first period.

In-form midfielder Ellis Deeney made it 2-0 with a fine free-kick nine minutes later and substitute Deon Burton capped the win by turning to fire home a third goal five minutes from time.

The match was watched by a crowd of 726 as City climbed to 15th with Telford bottom of the table.
