Worcester (4-4-2)
7 Ross – not the happiest of returns for the teenager as he conceded three goals but produced a series of fine saves which gave City a glimmer of hope.
5 Minihan – a below-par performance from the right-back, who failed to keep either Jason St Juste or Dylan Motley-Henry quiet and paid the price.
6 Sharpe – looked off the pace at times as Avenue’s attackers ran City’s defence ragged, especially in the first half.
5 Thomas – capped off a miserable opening period with a straight red card after appearing to hit out at Lamin Colley.
7 Gudger – unlike the rest of the back four, he was calm and collected throughout, winning numerous tackles.
7 Jackman – fought hard, set up Kyle Perry’s goal with a good delivery and generally helped steady the ship in the second half.
6 Gater - got better after the break but spent too much of the match penned in his own half as he struggled to assert himself.
6 Nti – plugged away but missed a couple of chances to test the keeper with free-kicks in dangerous positions.
6 Murphy – after a quiet first period, he stepped things up but only managed to get one shot away.
7 PERRY – deserved to get his first goal for the club after a dogged display from the striker, who held the ball up exceptionally well. My man of the match.
5 Hughes – failed to get a shot on target and was replaced just before the break with City fearing he may pick up a second yellow card.
