Worcester City 0 Chorley 1
Worcester City (4-4-1-1)
5 Draper – pulled off one fine save, but almost gifted Chorley a goal when fumbling a cross and his distribution was often wayward.
6 Gallinagh – huffed and puffed all afternoon, making several brave blocks, but struggled to stop left wing back Will Beesley.
6 Hutchison – after a sloppy start, the centre back coped well when facing a bombardment of long balls into the box.
7 Oji – a much-improved display from the defender who held firm against Chorley’s front two and City missed him when he hobbled off.
6 Weir – started brightly and wore his heart on his sleeve throughout, but visibly tired towards the end.
6 Steele – had plenty of the ball and attacked at every opportunity down the right without creating any clear cut chances.
7 English – saved his keeper’s blushes with an impressive goal-line clearance and kept battling away with tackles and blocks.
7 JACKMAN – despite the odd stray pass, the midfielder looked a class apart as he knocked the ball around with calm and confidence.
6 Keane – given a more advanced role, the left-sided player showed some nice touches, but made a reckless tackle late on.
5 Murphy – after forcing a good save from Sam Ashton, the number 10 made little impact and lost possession too many times.
5 Bishop – hardly had a sniff of the ball as Chorley’s experienced defensive trio kept the young striker quiet.
Subs: Sharpe 5 (Oji 63), Craig 5 (Murphy 3), Olukanmi (Steele 75). Not used: Ross, Batchelor.
