WORCESTER City will begin their FA Cup adventure with a home clash against Vanarama National League North rivals AFC Telford United.

The second round qualifying tie will take place at the Victoria Ground on Saturday, September 17, with City hoping to go on another cup run.

In recent seasons, Carl Heeley’s men have experienced plenty of memorable moments in the competition.

In the 2014/15 campaign, City stunned League One side Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena before being knocked out by Scunthorpe in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.

They then reached the first round proper again last season where they lost 3-0 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane after impressive wins over Solihull Moors and Gateshead.

City face a tricky opener against Telford this term, but they will hope to make home advantage count.

Kidderminster Harriers will also go head-to-head with another National League North outfit having been drawn against Tamworth at Aggborough.

Meanwhile, Hereford FC will travel to Sutton Coldfield Town, of the Evo-Stik National Premier League (NPL), if they can see off Romulus in their first round qualifying replay on Tuesday night.

Evesham United could welcome Ilkeston, also of the NPL, to the Jubilee Stadium, but they will need to dispatch Barwell first having drawn 2-2 on Saturday.

Westfields have been rewarded with a home tie against Highgate United after they thumped St Ives Town 4-0 at the weekend.
