WORCESTER City defender Graham Hutchison has left the cash-strapped club to sign for AFC Telford United.

Hutchison rejoins the Bucks having spent time on loan at the club during the 2015-16 season before linking up with City for a second spell last summer.

He started his career at Lincoln City and was quickly snapped up by Birmingham City.

The former Scotland under 17s player joined Worcester in 2013 before being sold to Halifax Town in 2015.

Nottingham-based Hutchison, 24, then joined Telford on loan and helped secure their status in National League North.

Bucks boss Rob Smith wanted to sign him last summer but the centre-half joined City who went on to apply for voluntary relegation and dropped into the Midland League Premier Division.

Smith said: “Hutch was someone we wanted to keep hold of last season but we could not get near Worcester’s offer that was on the table.

“Despite Worcester’s season Hutch had an excellent season personally and was desperate to return to the club.

"He will be a great addition to the squad and we are delighted to have him in on board.”
