WORCESTER City will be sweating on the outcome of a trio of fitness tests with their support cast diminished ahead of tomorrow's clash with Shepshed Dynamo (3pm).

Hopes remain high that the Midland League's leading marksman Mark Danks, stand-in skipper Brad Birch and wide man Josh Sarmento will appear but with a busy schedule on the horizon joint-boss John Snape is set to proceed with caution.

Any problems will be exacerbated by injuries to youngsters Aaron Brett (knee) and Sam Yeomans (ankle ligaments) and the absence of Kyonn Evans who has rejoined former club Malvern Town on a dual-registration basis, although winger Alex Tomkinson will be in the squad.

"We have a few injury worries and will have to review them." said Snape. "The three lads will have fitness tests to see what state they're in and we'll stay mindful of the fact we have three games in eight days.

"There are a few up in the air and the squad will be used accordingly.

"Kyonn indicated he wanted to play first-team football and we have joint agreement with Malvern for the next month so he can start some games.

"It was his own choice because he wants to sharpen up. He has done it in a sensible, proper way so there is no issue from our point of view."

Sixth-placed Dynamo arrive at the Victoria Ground as the joint-third highest scorers in the Premier Division with 22 goals from eight games, two behind City, yet have failed to find the net in their past three.

"I have picked up some information from other managers and we know they will be a good side, especially in the forward areas," said Snape.

"They have the opportunity to go above us if they win so will carry a threat. It will be a good game for both sides.

"We always said we would review things after 10 games but the matches now start to come thick and fast. League tables take shape around Christmas and January, that's when it really matters but so does momentum and we'll be looking for another win against Shepshed."

Meanwhile, Snape is in talks with Gloucester City over an extension to George Forsyth's loan spell which ends this weekend.

"We're in negotiations to keep him for another month," said Snape. "I am hopeful on that one. He is reviewing the option and we will probably pick it up after the game."

Striker Charlie Anagho-Ntamark, who was given the chance to shine in the League Cup at Littleton, has joined Lye Town. Snape also confirmed the club's new permanent captain, a vacancy that arose following the departure of Tyler Weir to Hednesford, would be announced to the squad at the match.
