JORDAN Stoddart is set to join hometown club Worcester City from Southern League outfit Cirencester Town.

The centre-half has agreed to join City’s Midland League Premier Division promotion push despite starting all but one of the 19 matches played by the Centurions, who ply their trade one level above, so far this season.

Stoddart will have the opportunity of a Cirencester swansong at Mangotsfield United today before becoming eligible for Worcester’s home FA Vase clash with Highgate in seven days.

Wayne Thomas is available following suspension for City’s home league match with Haughmond today (3pm) but there are a number of possible absentees.

The fitness of striker Mark Danks remains in the balance due to a thigh strain with top scorer Dave Reynolds definitely out due to a one-match ban picked up for five bookings.

Midfielder Mat Birley has a slight hamstring strain that could affect his participation.
