MATT GWYNNE 7
A good display. Pulled off some smart saves and three more at the end that would have been easy to forget with the score at 4-1. Punched too many crosses.
TYLER WEIR 7
Part of a solid platform. No errors and contributed to the attacking play. Quietly impressive.
JAMIE SMITH 7
Played like he had never been away, slotted seamlessly back in and provided impetus on the ball.
JORDAN STODDART 7
No big problems but almost got caught when turned by the nippy Alex Perry in the first half. Forceful and brings a much-needed resolute edge.
GEORGE FORSYTH 8
Prepared to play anywhere and seldom looks out of place. A well-taken goal with the only concern his slip towards the end.
NATHAN HAYWARD 8
Excelled for the most part alongside partner-in-crime Brad Birch and oozed confidence from the outset, giving opponents the eyes before playing clever passes in tight areas.
JAMES BALDWIN 7
His biggest role was working his full-back while City got settled. Drew a foul from Sam Beasley and helped get his side on the front foot.
BRAD BIRCH 8
Not the performance of someone who wants to leave. Determined with controlled aggression. Precisely what City needed – let’s hope they don’t have to do without him.
LEE HUGHES 7
Two goals but could have had so many more. To his credit, he kept getting in there to miss them and got Worcester going after a solid-but-unspectacular start.
STAR MAN - DAVE REYNOLDS 8
Creative, clever and tireless. Some cracking approach play and unfortunate not to net himself. Proved he is not just a poacher.
ALEX TOMKINSON 6
Unusually quiet but still had his moments and was a fraction away from scoring.
