JOINT-boss John Snape remains on the lookout for a club to give Worcester City striker Mark Danks much-needed game time.

The 34-year-old has signalled his intention to find a short-term move in order to boost his fitness and boost his chances of challenging for City starts.

Snape would prefer Danks to join a club outside the Midland Football League (MFL) structure, meaning he could remain registered with Worcester while playing elsewhere provided there are no contracts involved.

To feature for anyone else in MFL, even three tiers lower, players must transfer and cannot switch back for 14 days with special dispensation.

"We are currently looking to get Mark some game time but want it to be on a dual-registration basis," explained Snape.

"We would like to have him on 24-hour recall so finding another MFL club would be our last option."

"He has been working hard on his fitness but has picked up a few bumps and bruises along the way which haven't helped.

"It is mainly his foot injury that has prevented him from playing a bigger part and now he is at the stage he needs some proper game time.

"We had a good chat and both feel he would benefit from 90 minutes to get him back to his best ahead of the run in. There would not be much point unless he is going to get that time on the pitch.

"It could be one or two games, football can change very quickly and with what he did earlier in the season we all know what he is capable of when he does recapture that form. The main thing is Mark is up for the challenge."
