A FIFTH summer signing could be just around the corner for Worcester City.
Manager Richard Dryden has made an offer to one of the players who has been on trial with the club and could have an answer as early as today.
Versatile defender Jemiah Richards, midfielder Danny Wring and strikers Anthony Robinson and Jake Edwards have all featured in City’s two pre-season friendlies to date as Dryden edges closer to finalising his plans for the Blue Square South campaign.
The City boss has targetted a squad of 17 or 18 players for next season and he is also prepared to utilise the loan system that served him well with Cameron Belford and Jon Munday last season.
Dryden said: “You have got to take a bit of a gamble and see what happens when the season progresses.
“I have spoken to clubs in leagues above us who will help us out if we need extra players.”
