MARCO Adaggio and Jordan Fitzpatrick have both signed for Worcester City ahead of the new Blue Square South season.
Former Shrewsbury and St-afford striker Adaggio has signed a one-year contract at the St George’s Lane club after spending most of pre-season on trial at Kidderminster Har-riers.
The 20-year-old Italian scor-ed six goals in 24 appearances for Stafford last season and his capture ends manager Richard Dryden’s search for a striker following the departure of An-thony Robinson on the eve of the final pre-season match at Rugby Town.
Ex-Hereford midfielder Fitz-patrick, who has also penned a one-year contract, featured in that 2-1 victory as a second-half substitute and has done enough to convince Dryden to make him a permanent part of his plans.
The City manager said: “Jordan will be a good asset to the squad. I think we have got a lot of good midfielders who can give us balance in the middle of the park. I think he’s another good signing.”
The pair’s signatures take the number of players in City’s squad to 19 and Dryden be-lieves he has made his budget go a long way.
“We are very close to the limit money-wise,” he said. “I think we’ve done well and have probably got a player more than we expected.”
