THE resignation of three Worcester City directors was not exactly met with a ringing endorsement at the weekend.
Chairman Anthony Hampson officially recognised the efforts of Brian Lancaster, Jon Prescott and Tony Partridge with a presentation at half-time during Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat against Bishop’s Stortford. However, their departures were met with boos from a section of the crowd and applause was muted in a somewhat low-key ceremony.
Lancaster served the club for a number of years as company secretary, while Prescott was in charge of the social club until last month. Partridge is set to continue as the club’s health and safety officer despite stepping down as a director.
