TWO players are continuing to mull over offers to join Worcester City.
The unnamed targets have held talks with the St George’s Lane club and been given time to reach a decision, but no deadline has been set.
City are not the only club vying for their signatures and it could be pre-season before any deals are done as players weigh up their options.
“We have still got offers out on two players so they are still considering those,” assistant manager Carl Heeley said.
“We are looking to attack-minded players, forwards and players with a little bit of creativity from midfield. I still think we need someone who can get the ball down and open teams up.”
He added: “It’s difficult because we have got players away and there’s nothing really happening. I think players are holding out for better things.
“But we are certainly not short of players who want to join us and prove their worth in pre-season.”
Meanwhile, City’s place in Blue Square South is set to be confirmed this weekend as the Football Conference holds its an-nual meeting to ratify the make-up of its leagues.
Meanwhile, Northwich Victoria, managed by former City boss Andy Preece, will start next season’s Blue Square North campaign on minus 10 points after winning their appeal against expulsion from the Conference for going into administration.
