WORCESTER City chairman Anthony Hampson says the club’s board of directors are fully behind manager Richard Dryden.
The St George’s Lane club are currently enduring their worst start to a season in 10 years having not won any of their first seven games in Blue Square South.
Monday’s 1-1 draw at Bath City also means they have taken just seven points from a possible 54 — a sequence of results not seen since 1920, when they failed to win for 20 league games.
There have, though, been rays of hope for fans in recent days, not least the performance in the 1-1 draw against Basingstoke and the display against Staines.
Manager Dryden knows he has to turn the team’s fortunes around and has hailed his squad as better than last year.
He fielded questions from supporters at Saturday’s fans’ forum and has got the backing of the Blue Square South club’s board of directors.
Chairman Hampson said: “The board is giving Richard 100 per cent support.”
Dryden, however, was less than impressed by the showing at Bath, in which Louis Bridges’ opener was cancelled out by Mike Perrott.
The manager said: “I’m disappointed with the goal we conceded and I’m disappointed with how we performed.
“We didn’t learn our lesson (after the goal) and apart from a decent save from Ben Hinchliffe they should have won the game and we didn’t really deserve anything.
“All in all it was a rubbish day at the office.”
He is now looking at strengthening the midfield and forward line for Saturday’s visit of Dorchester Town after releasing former Reading striker Martin Butler.

Money or no money it`s a pretty poor record - there`s been far too many "rubbish days at the office"
