WORCESTER City fan Andrew Watson has been appointed to the club’s board of directors.

Watson, who is also a member of City’s supporters’ trust, has answered the St George’s Lane outfit’s plea for help and takes the number of directors to five.

A qualified chartered accountant, Watson moved to Worcester 20 years ago and was recently the managing director of two specialist bathroom firms.

He said: “I first watched the City soon after moving here and vividly remember the day my son was a mascot when Martyn Bennett was manager.

“I have supported Worcester City ever since and have been a proud owner of a season ticket for many years.

“I regularly attend fans’ forums and have heard the chairman asking for help from keen supporters and felt I must put my head above the parapet and give a hand.”

Chairman Anthony Hampson said: “We are always looking for willing people to help us out in whatever capacity and to get someone like Andrew to join us is definitely a major plus point.

“There are undoubtedly more good people out there whose help we could use, from board level to matchday volunteers, so if you too can assist the club please make yourselves known to us.”

Sounds like he`s just what City need.
A couple more like him would give the club real hope.(What about Martin Pinches, City`s main sponsor)
Things are looking a tiny bit brighter.
