SEVEN players have been released by Worcester City as manager Carl Heeley begins to rebuild his squad.

Wayne Daniel, Tom Kemp, Craig Wilding, Marco Adaggio, Alfie Carter, Louis Bridges and Jack Connolly have all left the St George’s Lane club.

Gary Walker and Jason Pike have both accepted new deals, while Mark Clyde will continue as player-assistant boss.

Graham Ward, Shabir Khan, Matt Birley, Rob Elvins, Josh Quaynor, Jamie Price and Rob Davies have been made offers.

Marc McGregor will return in pre-season in a bid to prove his fitness but Jake Meredith is on holiday and his future is not yet known.

Very uninspiring choices. It looks like we're going to be watching some very functional football next season. I'm particularly disappointed that Carl has choosen not to stick with Marco, having said that I'm not surprised.

Was it Adaggio I saw parading around with the legs of his shorts tucked into his underpants before the Lewes game? Say no more!

I think this list is spot on and we must add Meredith to it, Adaggio was never going to stay after problems at training but we are not privvy to that information, Carter always tried hard but has had to many injuries and spends more time off the pitch than on it, then again last 4 months we had Tom Kemp sat in the stands every week wasting valuable funds

Not sure about Alfie Carter and I can see that Daniel and Kemp have gone due to cost. Will Mark Owen still be helping out with coaching?

I`m amazed Walker and Davies are even being offered terms for next season. The clearout is nowhere near what Heeley led us to believe it would be.
I don`t understand the support for Adaggio - he should have scored at least twice as many goals as he did, which would have seen City higher up the table.Same story last season -he misses far too many chances per goal scored.
Walker, Davies and Birley in midfield will have us back in the same position we are in now - unless Heeley has an ace or two up his sleeve City will be interviewing candidates for the managers job before Xmas.
At the moment I`d say Rooky has very little to worry about from us next season.

I don't think that we'll be in Rooky's league next season as we'll be back in the north! I liken Davies to a crab. This is the same nickname that was given to Ray Wilkins. He should have more confidence to push forward.

I am totally amazed that Elvins has been given offer. I hope when he mulls it over he does the Club a big favour and rejects it. He is a total waste of space. I just cannot see what Carl sees in him and I know a lot of supporters feel the same.
