STRIKER Mike Symons says signing for Midlands League Premier Division champions Hereford was the best decision he’s ever made.
The 29-year-old, who had two spells at Worcester City, has helped Hereford to promotion.
Symons was on the scoresheet as Hereford wrapped up the title with a 4-0 win at Coventry Sphinx on Monday.
Symons joined Hereford after being released by Gloucester City and has netted 22 goals.
He said: “Pete Beadle gave me a call and said I should come down to Hereford to get the smile back on my face. Being 29, almost 30, it’s probably the best decision I have ever made.”
Hereford will be presented with the title on Thursday when they host Stourport Swifts in the Polymac Packaging League Cup semi-final second leg. Hereford lead 1-0 from the first leg.
