WORCESTER City’s game against Gainsborough Trinity today is set to be postponed because of a frozen pitch.
With St George’s Lane unplayable and freezing conditions gripping the country, City wanted to call the match off yesterday but were denied by league officials.
However, a pitch inspection will take place this morning at 9am to formally postpone the Blue Square Bet North fixture.
Hereford United’s League Two match at Gillingham has also fallen victim to the weather and was called off yesterday with parts of the Priestfield Stadium pitch deemed unplayable.
A pitch inspection is due to take place this morning for Evesham United’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division match at Stourbridge.
Kidderminster Harriers, however, remain hopeful of playing their FA Trophy third round match against Luton Town at Aggborough (3pm).
Elsewhere, Malvern RFC’s National League Three Midlands clash at Newport (Salop) has also been postponed, as has Evesham’s Midlands Three West (South) game against Kings Norton.
