DANIEL Nti is aiming to hit the goal trail again for Worcester City and return them to winning ways against Gainsborough Trinity today (3pm).

City make the trip to Northolme with five wins from their last seven Skrill North matches but having lost 1-0 to Telford United at Aggborough on Tuesday.

Nti was an integral part of that revival in fortunes, scoring four goals in three games as he enjoyed arguably his best form of the season.

It took the former Loughborough University striker to 10 goals for the campaign, one behind leading marksman Ethan Moore, but it has been three games since he last hit the target.

Aaron Farrell has been brought in to bolster the squad's attacking options but Nti is determined to set the record straight against Gainsborough.

"It's my aim in every match to score and hopefully I can get back to scoring again," he said. "There's competition with more people in our position and that's always good because it makes you perform at the top of your game and lets you know someone is creeping up behind you.

"It's a good thing but hopefully we will start doing what we were brought to the club to do."

Postponements against Barrow and Stockport County did not help the momentum the Blue and Whites had gained during January but they head to Lincolnshire looking for back-to-back away wins following the 1-0 success at Guiseley.

Nti said: "With games being called off it's hard to find rhythm so it's down to us to keep training and keeping our minds sharp.

"Hopefully we can keep doing that so that when the games come thick and fast we are ahead of the others.

"It's just match fitness and sharpness but that will come and everyone knows how to perform in games."
