WORCESTER City manager Carl Heeley has called on the club’s supporters to cheer the team on to a place in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.

City are in today’s draw, which sees the Vanarama Conference sides enter the fray, after drawing 1-1 at Leamington on Saturday.

The teams will do battle again at Aggborough tomorrow night (7.45pm) and Heeley wants the fans to replicate their vocal efforts.

A large contingent were part of the 755 crowd in Warwickshire and helped create a lively occasion. The Worcester boss said: “Our support turned up in great numbers and they were magnificent. Myself, the staff and the players really appreciate that. It was top drawer and we want them to come out tomorrow night and help us try to finish the job off.”

He continued: “You need your supporters and if you haven’t played the game you can’t value what it does to a player and how much it lifts you and the staff.

“Please come out in force tomorrow night, be the extra man and let’s see if we can knock them over at the second time of asking.”

Graham Hutchison is being monitored for the affects of concussion after taking a blow to the ear during the second-half on Saturday.

The defender was replaced by Wayne Thomas, who has recovered from a back injury and could replace the Scot in tomorrow’s replay.

David McDermott could also come into the reckoning after Heeley opted not to involve him against the Brakes in a bid to give him further time to shake off a hamstring problem.
