FORMER Hereford United youngster Tyler Weir turned down an offer to join the newly-formed Edgar Street club.
Weir, who lives in Ledbury, said he spoke to Hereford FC boss Pete Beadle a couple of times over the summer when he was out of contract at Worcester City.
Weir said he had “six or seven offers” from clubs, including one from Hereford, but choose to remain with Worcester.
He has signed a new one-year deal with City.
“I started my career at Hereford and spoke to Pete Beadle a couple of times and I can’t fault what he said – he was straight to the point," said Weir.
“But I am 24 and, at this moment in time, dropping down three leagues is not the best option for me.”
