Worcester (4-2-3-1).
Vaughan 6 – Not a lot to do apart from a decent first half save and the penalty. Strong as usual and with some good distribution.
MINIHAN 8 – Excellent in both defence and attack. Taken off in the closing stages with City looking to bring on extra strikeforce.
Gudger 7 – Good display at left-back and was rarely in trouble. Out-muscled powerhouse Marlon Harewood late on.
Thomas 7 – Faultless at the back and even provided an extra attacking option as City looked for a late equaliser.
Sharpe 7 – Another solid display at the heart of the City defence. Nuneaton struggled to find a way through all game.
Gater 7 – Never gave up and linked up well with the attack. Showed some clever touches.
Nti 6 – Powerful at times and a thorn in the side for the visitors but end product lacked too often.
Deeney 7 – Another strong display and the skipper made some telling runs into the box.
Burton 6 – Isolated for much of the game but still showed his experience in bringing other players into the game at times.
Geddes 4 – Had been hard-working but anonymous until his dissent to the referee saw him sent off in the second half.
Dunkley 6 – Struggled against excellent Nuneaton defender James Clifton for much of the game and made way for Ashley Vincent late on.
