Worcester (4-2-3-1)
VAUGHAN 8- A performance to remember, he pulled off a host of good saves to keep Worcester in the match and had little chance with any of the goals.
Minihan 5 - Had a tough afternoon from the start and struggled to cope with the pace of Jamal Campbell-Ryce on the Sheffield United wing leading to being substituted.
Gudger 6 - Kept the right winger quiet for most of the match and then coped well with the pace of Campbell-Ryce when he swapped wings in the second half.
Thomas 7 - Like his centre-half partner, he had a busy afternoon but helped to keep City in the match until late on.
Sharpe 7 - A decent performance against two good strikers, he headed a constant supply of balls out of the box and frustrated the hosts’ forwards until late in the match. Gater 6 - Struggled with an experienced Sheffield United midfield pairing and was left found wanting in the middle of the pitch.
Nti 7- Had a good game on a tough afternoon, he looked strong early on and then created space out wide to create Worcester’s best chance of the game.
Deeney 6 - Struggled to get a foothold in the match although provided some protection to his defence against a good attacking side.
Burton 6 - Was feeding off scraps for much of the game as Sheffield United dominated possession although he had a few shots on target and agonisingly missed Nti’s cross to level the tie.
Jackman 6 - Was left found wanting in midfield on one occasion which led to a Sheffield counter-attack but did provide some assistance to the forward pairing.
Vincent 7 - Looked lively in the early stages and could have given his side the lead when his effort was palmed over. He also provided some forward assistance for Burton.
