Worcester City (4-2-3-1).

7 Ross – first match since his howler against Corby, the young keeper stood up tall, but still does not look comfortable defending set pieces.

6 Minihan – did not make as much of an impact as in previous matches, but his high energy levels kept City motoring.

7 Gudger – making his return from injury, he put his body on the line with important blocks.

6 Cleet – struggled to contain Fylde’s attacking threats and was replaced by Wayne Thomas.

7 Weir – had a difficult afternoon marking Dion Charles, but made some crucial clearances off the line and his tenacity was clear to see.

8 Donnellan – City will do well to keep the teenager who looks as comfortable with the ball at his feet as he does in the air.

7 Jackman – seems to be the perfect choice as skipper as his cool temperament rubbed off on his teammates.

7 Gater – made a promising start at number ten, with some neat touches, before the heavy rain made life difficult for him.

6 Smith – looked keen to impress, but lacked cutting edge and made way for Burton.

8 NTI – was a thorn in Fylde’s side with his jinking runs. He coolly dispatched the penalty and fired home the winner. Man of the match.

6 Bakayoko - was alert to score the opener, but missed two glaring opportunities.

Subs: Burton 6 (Smith 51), Thomas 6 (Jackman 70), Waldron (Cleet 78). Not used: McDonald, Ologu.
