WORCESTER City will begin their defence of the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup against Redditch United on Tuesday, July 19.

The semi-final tie will take place at Stourport Swifts FC to give Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground “sufficient time” to be ready.

City, Redditch and Evesham have been given a bye to the last four, while Kidderminster Harriers will go up against Stourbridge in the first round.

The final is set to be held at the Victoria Ground on Saturday, July 23 when Worcester will be hoping to retain the title they won for the first time since 1997 last year.

Round One:

Kidderminster Harriers vs Stourbridge – Monday, July 18 at Stourbridge FC, 7.45pm.

Byes: Evesham United; Worcester City; Redditch United.

Semi-Finals: (July 18-21).

Worcester City vs Redditch United (Tuesday, July 19 at Stourport Swifts FC, 7.45pm).

Evesham United vs winner of Round One.

Final: Winner of SF 1 vs Winner of SF 2 (Saturday, July 23 at Bromsgrove Sporting FC).

A City spokesman said: “To give the pitch at Bromsgrove's Victoria Ground sufficient time to be ready, the semi-final tie has been switched to Stourport Swifts FC.

“We would like to thank our friends at Swifts for their assistance in hosting this tie.”

He added: “A number of pre-season friendlies are in the process of being finalised and will be announced shortly.”

The fixtures for the 2016/17 Vanarama National League North campaign are planned to be released on Wednesday, July 6.
